Step 1 - Professional reports are poorly written

Step 2- LA use poor reports for EHCP

Step 3- Family appeal and often don’t get legal aid

Step 4- LA hire an expensive solicitor or Barrister

If a family going through appeal don’t get legal aid, then the LA should not be able to use a barrister or solicitor! It’s so unfair.

At the moment it’s a huge waste of money. Appeals are just feeding solicitor firms thousands and thousands of pounds and causing families unprecedented distress.
