Happy PDA Day

Happy PDA day.

I’ll be spending today with one of my favourite people. She is a 10Yr old PDAer and is amazing.

Yes she is challenging and interesting in equal measures. She swears a lot and tells me what to do the entire time I’m with her, but she is also truly inspiring and inspirational. She is so funny and has a huge ability to play and spread her joy.

I will be thinking of another lovely friend of my family who is a 14yr old PDAer and we love her too so much. She has struggled to get out in lockdown, so will be enjoying her own time today in her safe space I guess. She is so fabulous though. The things she says, the things she does, the way she sees the world and takes the parts she wants and discards the rest, I find her so empowered and empowering. She has the world at her feet and brings so much joy.

I would never discount the additional energy and determination it takes for these girls parents to guide them to adulthood, but today I just thank those parents for allowing me the joy for the last 2yrs to be in these beautiful young peoples lives.
